At Vinya els Vilars, we continue to invest in the future of our winery with passion and determination with the aim of continuing to make quality wines and adapting to the tastes of our customers and the market. In line with this philosophy, we have expanded our macabeo vineyards and planted new grape varieties of white and red Grenache on two hectares located right next to our winery.
This May, at Vinya els Vilars, we have begun to sow the roots of the future by planting new vines of macabeo, an emblematic white grape variety of our land and the basis of our white wine Quim. In addition, we are taking a step forward by incorporating Garnacha Blanca, which will allow us to complement the coupages and guarantee a more stable production of white wine, which is in great demand in our winery and which often limits our production due to the lack of grapes.
To complete this new commitment to the future of the winery, and also looking towards current trends, we have also decided to plant red Garnacha. Grenache is on the rise and, at Vinya els Vilars, we do not want to be left behind.
We enthusiastically embrace this variety that offers wines with character, very much in line with our winery’s DNA, and with each vine, we plant not only vines, but also a shared vision: to grow a project that unites tradition, innovation and territory.
Planting vines is like raising a child, with a lot of care and pampering from the first moment until the end. As Antonio says in the video we share with you: ‘Palanteeee’
Vinya els Vilars, much more than vines.
