Vinya els Vilars Winery Continues to Blend Art and Wine Tourism with the Inauguration of the CHILL Exhibition by Ivan Egea and a New Mural-Photocall by Pango I Co
February 24, 2025
Vinya els Vilars Winery is further establishing itself as a space where art and wine tourism converge. This past Saturday, the winery inaugurated the CHILL exhibition by local artist Ivan Egea, along with a new large-scale mural-photocall created by Pango I Co, a creative project formed by Egea and Estitxu Julián Fandiño.
The event was a great success, bringing together friends, visitors, and lovers of art and wine for a warm and creative evening. The gathering marked the opening of the CHILL exhibition in the winery’s barrel room and the unveiling of a new large-scale mural by Pango I Co.
This mural-photocall, now adorning the winery, is set to become one of the most photographed spots for visitors to Vinya els Vilars. The artists aimed to capture the alchemy and magic behind winemaking—a journey that intertwines the land that gives life to the vines, the tradition that roots its essence, the innovation that paves new paths, and the art of viticulture, which is pure passion. Simultaneously, the mural seeks to transport the viewer to that unique moment where a great glass of wine and good company create pure harmony.
It is worth noting that this is not Pango I Co’s first intervention at the winery. Their previous work includes exterior murals featuring the Iberian woman from the Nena rosé label and other imagery inspired by the Iberian world and the Vilars fortress, creating the first large-scale mural at the winery.
Ivan Egea Returns to the Vinya els Vilars Barrel Room with "CHILL"
The CHILL exhibition is a deep exploration of human vulnerability and spontaneity in moments of uninhibitedness. Egea explains that, through these portraits, he aims to capture instances where the body relaxes, the gaze drifts, and the soul reveals itself without filters. The exhibition is not about glorifying or judging but rather about observing and immortalizing those moments when identity breaks down and reconstructs itself in real time.
"With an honest perspective," says the artist, "this series is an exercise in empathy and understanding of the complexity of the human condition."
The CHILL exhibition by Ivan Egea will be open at the winery for the coming weeks, offering a unique opportunity to enjoy his work in an exceptional setting where art and wine go hand in hand.
This is not Egea’s first collaboration with the winery. In 2015, he exhibited a selection of his sculptures at Vinya els Vilars, coinciding with the International Wine Tourism Day on November 8. Additionally, he designed the label for the winery’s Especial wine.
The Pango I Co Project
Pango I Co is a creative project that brings together the talents of Ivan Egea, a multidisciplinary artist from Arbeca, and Estitxu Julián Fandiño, a digital marketing professional from Barakaldo. Since 2019, they have collaborated on projects involving mural art, screen printing, design, and digital communication.
During this special event, Antonio Aldomà and María José Pérez expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Ivan and Estitxu for beautifying the winery with their artistic vision. They also reaffirmed their commitment to supporting and promoting local artists, transforming the winery into a space that celebrates not only wine but also culture and artistic expression, further enriching its wine tourism offerings.
