This Thursday, at 7:00 pm, the winery Vinya els Vilars will become the stage for a new cultural proposal with the presentation of the book “Crónicas de un espejo agrietado” (Chronicles of a cracked mirror), by the Arbequina author Anna Tribó. The event will be a celebration of local literary and artistic talent, in an atmosphere where words and wine will toast together for culture.
The book, a collection of 25 short stories illustrated by Kayle Giroud, portrays everyday scenes, dreams and memories with a close and sensitive look. The common thread of these stories is Arbeca, which not only serves as a setting, but in many cases, as in the story “Old Cemetery”, becomes the real protagonist. As the author says, readers can easily see themselves reflected, as many of the characters and situations reflect the soul and life of Arbeca.
The event will be attended by the author Anna Tribó, as well as Mr. Sergi Pelegrí, mayor of Arbeca; the councilman of culture Francesc Roset; Maria Teresa Quintana, former teacher and neighbor of the municipality, and Carles B. Gorbs, journalist and editor.
The presentation will be accompanied by the reading of some fragments and a glass of wine or cava from Vinya els Vilars, reaffirming once again that this space is much more than vineyards: it is a cultural and emotional meeting point for the whole region
The work has a foreword by Frederic Barberà and a presentation by the writer Josep Vallverdú, as well as illustrations by Kayle Giroud.
